In September 2018 I had the pleasure in opening the cultural exhibition held in St. Martinus Tower, Woudrichem . The exhibition title was “From the Psychedelic to the Vatican”. On 1/6/2019 I also opened an outdoor exhibition held at our beautiful Biesbosch MuseumEiland. The title of this exhibition was “Sculptures in the Garden of Eden: Part I”. Both events were well attended and successful. The municipality has worked with Margin (Art & Media) in both locations owned by the municipal. This company is friendly and professional. They worked in a friendly and professional way with the local church, museum, cafe, art collector and visitors.

I am a councillor of the CDA in the City of Zwolle. Previously I held the following positions , alderman in Kampen , Mayor of Dalfsen, Nieuwleusen, Ommen, Steenwijkerland and Oldenzaal. Spanning 27 years. All positions held are in the Netherlands. The directors of Margin ( Art & Media) are well known to me. I have opened and spoken at a number of their cultural exhibitions and events. I find Nora & Hugh to be very inspiring. I would like to answer your request for a reference for your company Margin (Art & Media) BV. The inauguration of the exhibition in Ruigoord in Amsterdam in September 2018 has given me more convinced than ever before that expressions of art are extremely important for the society. Now that the coronavirus hits humanity in the heart, expressions of art are even more important. People ask existential questions. The expressions of art now more than ever touch the hearts. They do not give intellectual answers. They speak the language of intuition. I sincerely wish that the goal of opening their own museum will soon be fulfilled.

Margin is at the forefront of forward thinking. With every year that passes the world becomes more a complex and fragmented place with multiple stories and urgent issues and at the same time it becomes more joined up through technology. We need creative and imaginative artists and arts organisations to help us make sense of this, to inspire us and show us new ways of thinking about the world and working with each other. Margin is one such organisation that thinks outside the box and finds new ways to cross the divides we face. Their imaginative work connects communities and cultures, they use creativity to initiate dialogue, research social concerns and they understand the importance of bridging the public and private sectors. They show us that the margins are actually the new centres.
